In 2020 LeaderSpring Center (LSC) supported HMD/The Bridge Project in our transformation from a white-led hierarchical structure to an equity-centered distributive leadership structure. A change driven by a desire to value-align the internal decision-making and power-holding structures with the organization’s arts programs demonstrated commitments to cultural and racial equity. LSC welcomes Bridge Project Co-Directors Cherie Hill, Hope Mohr, and Karla Quintero to their 2022 Equity Series for a conversation moderated by Safi Jiroh, Principal Consultant at LSC about their journey, lessons they learned along the way, and the ways that their organizational structure currently embodies equity. This workshop will open with a short guided somatic practice to ground participants in their bodies for the dialogue ahead. Participants will also have the opportunity to consider distributed leadership and power within their own organizational contexts through facilitated small group dialogue.
