JOIN OUR BOARD - Open Call
HMD/The Bridge Project is shifting - we’re about to reveal a new name, a new look, and are currently seeking up to 4 new board members to join and support our organizational transition to a fully distributed leadership model. As we enter this new phase, board members will play a key role in envisioning and developing this landmark transformation. Along with our staff, artists, and a passionate team of creatives they will re-imagine Board leadership and support the creation of equity-driven art that centers artists as agents of change.

BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
Commitment to a three-year term of service
Attendance at monthly Board meetings
Optional attendance at committee meetings (Equity / Special Events)
Contribution to the life of the Board through co-creating agendas for meetings, co-facilitating meetings, and stepping into rotating leadership roles (Co-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer) throughout Board tenure.
Staying informed about and engaged in HMD/The Bridge Project’s programming
Actively promoting HMD programs to your community and expanding the organization’s audience
Supporting staff with event planning, strategic visioning, community building, value-alignment, budgeting, and any other areas of work to help further our mission and values.
No prior board experience or financial contribution required.
AREA OF EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Board members contribute their time and expertise in a way that feels personally significant and meaningful. This year, our Board is looking to cultivate expertise and build capacity in the following areas:
Event Planning
Brand Integration
New Approaches to Fundraising (ie. Community-Centric Fundraising)
Expertise or practice in art-making and production, in any art form
